All apartments have individually controlled air-conditioning & heatpump units so temperature can be adjusted to suit your comfort and needs.

Alarms can be set using the Google Home Nest displays in your apartment.  

To set an alarm use the following command set:

Additionally a timer can be set with the command:

The top button switch just inside the door turns on/off the extractor fan. The middle switch controls the lighting and demister heating for the mirror (in winter) The bottom push-button switch turns on/off the fan heater. To assist in minimising unnecessary air moisture in your room, please use the extractor fan whilst showering , Thanks.

All apartments are smart media enabled and have a number of current smart devices including Google Home Nest displays in all units.  Music can be streamed from your device via bluetooth to the Google Home Nest display in your apartment.  Alterntively music can be streamed from Spotify to the Google Nest device with the command:

Check out is any time prior to 10h00.  Our cleaning staff commence servicing of the apartments at 10:00. Please turn off anything that you have turned on and close and  lock the door on your departure.

Crux  has a coffee machine with Nespresso coffee pods delivering premium coffee, cup after cup, Our coffee capsules are recycled; please leave used capsules either on the kitchen bench or in the recycle bin.

Each apartment has a generous selection of teas, coffee and hot chocolate, which are provided for the duration of your stay and which are replenished in between guest stays.

To unlock the door to your apartment, please use the unique 4 digit code allocated to you in your guest checkin instructions / email.

Please take care when entering your door code as repeated attempts to unlock with an incorrect code entered will result in the unit entering anti-tamper mode which may prevent access for an extended period of time,.

A number of Smart Devices are installed at Lakeview Tekapo.  This includes a selection of Google Nest displays in each unit.  These units allow for interaction of the smart devices within your unit and also serve as your Google Assistant.

Individually controlled heat pumps can be adjusted to suit your needs. Tiled floor surfaces in the kitchen, ensuite and main bathroom are heated and are pre set and confirgured during the colder periods. (Please do not alter  pre-defined settings on the wall panels)

A clothes airing rack is provided in the wardrobe. For the comfort of all guests, please do not have any washing / clothing viewable from outside your apartment

A number of Free2Air channels are available for your viewing pleasure.

Please use the TV remote control (black Samsung remote control) to turn on /off the tv, adjust channels and alter the TV volume.  

Free Wireless High Speed Internet connection is available from all apartments. The wireless network connection details and a QR connect to enable connection are available in each unit on a stand up card.  Connect by scanning the QR code or by selecting the applicable wifi connection and entering the password displayed on the the stand up card.

Terms and conditions: Connecting to the Lakeview Tekapo network is deemed as agreement with the tems of conditions of use.

Modern Microwave ovens are available for exclusive guest use in each of the studios and the 2 bedroom apartment.

The Studios all have Samsung Microwaves with a Grill Function.

We aim to provide well-appointed modern apartments to all of our guests.  Should you encounter any maintenance or cleanliness concerns that require our attention, we respectfully ask that you contact us immediately if the issue is affecting your level of comfort or expectations.

Netflix streaming services are provided courtesy of Lakeview Tekapo.

There is no need to use your own logon details and we respectfully ask that you do not change the existing logon credentials as by using your own credentials you are effectively allowing future guests to logon with yiour details.

• Select the Applicable Netflix  profile which coincides with your unit name (i.e. Alpha Studio select profile Alpha)

The inside of all Apartments are strictly non-smoking. For the outside areas, please use the ashtrays provided and be considerate to other guests.

To assist us with delivering a lake view for all to enjoy, we ask that consideration is shown to other guests and our neighbours by using the car parks provided at the rear of the property.

Also, if ice or snow is predicted, it may be prudent to park your vehicle so that it is facing out to assist you in exiting the carpark.

A dedicated parking space is available for Electric Vehicles.  Please do not park in this parking space unless you have pre-arranged with management.

To assist Lake Tekapo in maintaining a pristine night sky for star-gazing, we would very much appreciate your co-operation by not leaving lights on unnecessarily.  The front porch is ideal for optimum viewing (subject to weather conditions) as well as through the sky windows in the bedrooms in the studio apartments.

Sorry, no pets allowed in the Apartments or around the grounds

We accept the following major credit cards, Visa, MasterCard as well as EFTPOS. Electronic payment can also be made directly into our nominated bank account

In consideration of all of our guests with regard to fire safety, please ensure that all appliances/heaters are switched off when not in use or when you leave your apartment. Naked flames are also prohibited from all rooms (i.e. candles. matches, etc)

A Fire Extinguisher can be found in cupboard below the kitchen sink. A First Aid Kit is located in the bottom drawer in the kitchen.

Each apartment has a number of Samsung Smart TV's which are all connected to high speed Internet.  Apps have been pre-installed on the TV's to allow for your viewing pleasure.  These apps pre-installed on the tv's include:

• Youtube

• Neon (user account required)

• Netflix (Lake View account supplied)

Please do not alter, remove or add apps to those pre-installed.

Netflix Logons are provided courtesy of Lakeview Tekapo. As such there is no need to use your own Netflix account.

All plugs are 240V AC. A multi-adaptor extension cord with integrated USB charging ports is located under the bedside tables and also in the living room.  Please do not plug out any of the existing devices plugged in.
